Alfaa HiFlo series of ultraviolet purification systems deliver the highest quality and most reliable performance available.
Whether you require microbe free water, reduced or non-existent residual ozone levels in your water purification processes, or TOC levels below 1.5 parts per billion (ppb) in your ultra-pure water loop, you can depend on Alfaa HiFlo systems to produce consistently exceptional results, reliably and cost effectively.
The new Alfaa HiFlo systems use fewer lamps to generate a given UV dose, a result of our powerful new UV lamp technology. These lamps combine the high electrical efficiencies of low pressure lamps with up to five times the UV output.
At the same time, they avoid the dangers of medium pressure lamps (inability to tolerate loss of flow for even a few seconds without drastic overheating or boiling of the water, inability to instantly restart following power outage or switch off and high power consumption) while providing an exceptional 12,500 hour lamp life. What does that mean to you? A smaller footprint, simplified maintenance, and lower operating costs.
Our new state of the art electronic ballasts developed specifically for the operation of UV lamps delivers high UV output (upto 30% more than conventional systems). They are compact and light weight and reduce electricity costs through higher efficiency. They allow the system to provide a constant UV dose by protecting against voltage fluctuations and run much cooler.
FloSteer LogoUV is not simply a ‘lamp inside a pipe’. The UV reactor must be designed to ensure that all microbes receive sufficient exposure to the UV light (dose). Some reactors are subject to short circuiting, a phenomenon where microbes pass through the reactor without receiving an adequate dose. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), the same modeling process used to optimize airplane and racecar designs for air flow, has been harnessed by Alfaa to design from ground up an effective and efficient UV reactor.
Based on the hydraulic properties of water, the reactor has been greatly optimized to guide the flow in a manner so as to maximize residence time and boost turbulence. The figure alongside illustrates a CFD-modeled reactor. Each coloured strand represents the path of an individual particle through the reactor. The colour changes from blue to red as the retention time and UV dose increases.
Simple to install in space restricted areas, Alfaa HiFlo systems consume less space, cost less to operate, and perform more efficiently than any other comparable UV product. Extremely Precise UV Intensity Monitor Our new and innovative, fully calibrated UV sensor is encapsulated in a robust stainless steel housing that locks the sensor in place. This unique design completely eliminates sensor movement and allows sensor change-outs without opening or stopping the system.
